
HOW IT STARTED
Lizzie spent the first 25 years of her life competing in high-level sport, notably; Modern Pentathlon, Three Day Eventing, Ultra marathons, Marathons, and Half Marathons. Like so many other high-performing athletes, Lizzie’s sporting career was sometimes found navigating injury, notably a serious back injury from her early teens that contributed to Spondylolysis (spinal fracture). This led her to explore ways to rehabilitate, prevent and mitigate the long-term impact of sporting-injuries- and ultimately comprehensively qualify to teach and share this with others. Being introduced to Pilates means that even after 1000's of miles of running, a ten year project management career, a relatably busy life and two babies she is still back surgery free.

Pilates sessions with Lizzie are not about what you solely gain in the one hour in the studio, they are about what benefits you take into your life beyond the studio. Not only will you become stronger, you will become more educated and more aware. As Lizzie says endlessly - we do Pilates so that we can do everything else.

Lizzie continues to progress her work through multiple qualifications in the area of rehabilitation and injury recovery. She has many successful clients with hip/knee/shoulder replacements, postnatal prolapse, abdominal diastastis, back concerns… and many more. She is looked to as an expert in the local area, working with world class physios and women’s health physios to support the programmes of many clients.
Clients come to Lizzie for her abundance of knowledge and stay for her passion, energy and tenacity in getting to know her clients and ensuring they not only meet their goals, but surpass them leaving sessions educated in ways clients hadn't realised possible.

Qualifications
-Certified Comprehensive Alan Herdman Pilates Instructor
-L4 Exercise Therapist, rehab specialist.
-Qualifications in rehabilitation, injury prevention, anatomy, osteoporosis, scoliosis, hip pre+post replacements, back pain, disc degeneration, knee pre+post replacements to name a few. Name it and I've probably covered it and worked with it.
-Antenatal and postnatal Qualifications with Body Control and Polestar
-Mat pilates, Reformer pilates, Chair, Barrel and CoreAlign.
-Certified L3 Personal Trainer
